The eight losing teams from Round 1 of the Cup played in the Quarter–Finals of the Plate, which was played on the same evening as the same stage of the Cup. Because all 16 League teams were involved, one team from each competition was drawn to set questions for the other competition.
The questions for the Plate Quarter–Finals were set by the Nags Head 'B'. Teams were asked to make sure, wherever possible, that one team in each match could provide a question master.
