The games at the George & Dragon and the Castle were drawn as the ones whose losing teams would set the questions for the Rounds of 16 in the Cup and Plate (rounds 3 and 2 respectively).

Round 2: 18 February 2003

Question setters: Bruce Arms, Chester Road Tavern 'B'. These teams, along with the Cock Inn, were asked to provide four question masters each. As 16 question masters were required, and all other teams would be playing in either the Cup or the Plate, participating teams were asked to provide question masters if possible.

Quarter–Finals: 18 March 2003

Question setters: George & Dragon 'A', George & Dragon 'B'. These two teams, along with the Chester Road Tavern 'A', were asked to provide three question masters each to cover the eight Cup and Plate games.

Semi–Finals: 8 April 2003

Question setters: Travellers Rest, New Castle. These two teams were asked to provide two question masters each, to cover the Cup and Plate semi–finals.

The second semi–final (between the Crown and CAP) was postponed on the scheduled date by agreement between the two teams, as each team had several members who were not available. It was played on 22 April (when there were no League games because of Easter).
