In this round's only all-A League game, the Nags Head 'B' suffered only their second defeat of the season. I reckon this is the tenth time these two teams have met in the Cup (including the Dolphin in their previous incarnation as the Bridgewater), and the sixth time that the Bridgewater/Dolphin have taken the honours. In the other three games the two B League and one C League team were all unsuccessful, losing to A League opposition.

In another Battle of the Titans, the Church House Bollington – the only A League team in this competition – lost by the narrowest of margins to the Waters Green Rams. The other three games all saw League rivals pitted against each other, and the semi-final draw (see below) means that the final will be contested between one team from the B League and one from the C League.

The questions for the semi–finals will be set by the Dolphin Dragons and the Plough Horntails. These teams were asked to provide two questions masters each to cover the four Cup and Plate games.
