Cup and Plate Quarter–Finals – 22 January 2019

... and Semi–Final Draws

Both Dolphin teams came through the Cup quarter–finals unscathed, and have avoided each other in the semis. In the Plate, the same has transpired for the Harrington teams. This presents the possibility of local derbies in both finals!

The quarter–finals were all high–scoring affairs. Top scorers were the Weaver, whose 122 points was the highest score in the Cup since the Dolphin scored 133 in the first round, two years ago. The highest aggregate was 220, in the match between the Dolphin Dragons and the Church House Bollington (won by the Dragons, by just six points). This equalled the aggregate in last season's final.

Top scorers in the Plate were the Robin Hood, whose 118 has only been beaten in recent years by the Waters Green Rams in this competition, and would have won two of tonight's Cup games.

The Quarter–Final questions were set by the Ox–fford and the Waters Green Rams. These two teams were asked to provide three question masters each; the Cock Inn and the Sutton Mutton were asked to provide one question master each.

The semi–finals will be played on Tuesday 19 February. The questions will be set by the Park Timers and Rushton Diamonds. These two teams are asked to provide two question masters each.
