Week 2

Of the nine games, four were won by teams going "first first" and five by the teams going the other way. The teams that won by going "first first" were the Ox–fford 'C', Robin Hood, Waters Green Rams and the Prince of Wales.

Scores were a little lower overall than in Week 1. Unusually in the A League, only one player (Tim Massey of the Ox–fford 'C') scored better this week than last.

Five players did better this week than last in the B League (Andy Johnson, Andrew Wright, Mike Hewitt, John Green and Tom Aindow) and four in the C League (Tim Hayes, Andrew Vickerstaff, Chris Butler and Emma Griggs).

Highest individual scorer of the week was Alice Walker (of the Ox–fford 'C') with 48. Apart from Alice, only two people scored over 40: Mark Watson with 45 and Haydn Thompson with 42.

Other than that, it would be unwise to draw too many conclusions at this stage of the season – especially as the Dolphin have yet to play a game!

Cars & Vans 4U Question Setters' Trophy

Wk Team Difficulty Balance Ent'mnt Total Last Year
1 1 Spec Ox–fford 10.00 6.63 7.22 23.58 24.69
2 2 GK Royal Oak 5.27 8.46 5.72 19.45 8.20
1 GK Ox–fford 8.23 4.65 6.50 19.37 17.22
4 2 Spec Sutton Mutton 5.24 9.04 3.44 17.72 (11.50)

Both of this week's sets were just slightly easier than average, meaning that they achieved slightly above average scores for difficulty. They also both scored very well for balance. Unfortunately, in the case of the Sutton Mutton's set, these scores were not matched by their Entertainment marks. Even so, both sets achieved very respectable total scores, which should see them finish comfortably in mid–table. For both teams – especially the Royal Oak – this showed a considerable improvement on their scores for last season.

(The Sutton Mutton's score for last year is in brackets because they set General Knowledge questions last season and Specialist questions this time.)
