Round 1: 25 November 2008

Question setters: Ox-fford 'C', Church House Bollington. These two teams were each asked to provide three question masters.

Three teams received byes: Dolphin Dragons, Puss Heads, and the Ox–fford. The Puss Heads and the Ox-fford were asked to provide two question masters each.

Round 2: 27 January 2009

Question setters: George & Dragon, Sutton Church House. These teams were asked to provide three question masters each. The Harrington 'B', Crown and Cock Inn were asked to provide two question masters each, to cover the eleven Cup and Plate games.

Quarter–Finals: 3 March 2009

Question setters: Principals, New Castle. These teams were asked to provide three question masters each. The Plough Taverners and the Baths Hotel were asked to provide one question master each, to cover the eight Cup and Plate games.

Semi–Finals: 7 April 2009

Question setters: Crown, Dolphin Dragons. These teams were asked to provide two question masters each, to cover the four Cup and Plate games.

Final: 12 May 2009

Question setters: all non–participating teams (compiled by Ox-fford?).
