The game at the George & Dragon and the one hosted by CAP were drawn as the ones whose losing teams would set questions for Round 2.
Question setters: Rising Sun 'A', Macclesfield Cricket Club. All three losing teams from Round 1 – these two plus the Wharf – were asked to provide four questions masters each. Four more question masters were required, and teams taking part in Round 2 were asked to provide question masters if possible.
In the event, this was described as "a bit of a shambles from a Question Master point of view". Thanks were extended to the following teams, who provided question masters for their own games:
